Sport Is Their Nature – Master & Dynamic MW07 GO TWS IEMs Review
It has been too long since I had the MW07GO around, and since I made the video review about them, so it is time for the full-length written review. Those have a price point of 160 USD as of the moment of making this review, they will be compared to HIFIMAN TWS600, 1More Stylish TWS IEMs, and with MW07 the original.
Introduction
Master & Dynamic have been a part of my review palette for a long while now, with some products surprisingly good, but with some really outdated now. What I came to know from reviewing their products all this time, is that they are improving and will soon surpass some of the established competitors. As we’ll explore today, they outdid some hard competition, like HIFIMAN in some ways, especially when it comes to Bluetooth products. On the other hand, I can also vouch for the service quality with Master & Dynamic, they will make things right if there ever is a wrong, and they are known to make pretty high-quality products that reach the proposed lifetime.
It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with Master Dynamic, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. I’d like to thank Master & Dynamic for providing the sample for this review. Every opinion expressed is mine and I stand by it, the purpose of this review is to help those interested in Master & Dynamic MW07GO find their next music companion.

Packaging
First things first, let’s get the packaging out of the way:
The package is most certainly less exciting than that of the original headphones I reviewed by Master & Dynamic were. This being said, I did like the fact that they included a hefty number of tips, ear adapters, and that they kept the connector to Type-C, rather than giving their products a microUSB connector.
You also get a good set of instructions to use their MW07GO, and although the cable comes as type-c to type-c, it comes with a type-A adapter so you can use your typical smartphone charger with the MW07GO

Build Quality/Aesthetics/Fit/Comfort
The whole pitch of the MW07GO is for them to be a sport TWS IEM. They are meant to be extremely ergonomic, they have buttons rather than touch controls, and they have a sport dressed carrying / charging case. They look a bit like they were made by Adidas or another sport company, which means that the company actually succeeded in making those sports-friendly.
The case carries 12 additional hours of battery life, over the IEMs’s 10 hours. I was able to get about eight hours from the IEMs, and at least one and a half extra charges from the case, to give you some idea of how the battery lasts in the real world. I am still using those for sport now, so they are GOOD. The cool part about the battery is that it charges fast, one hour and you have the entire battery of the IEMs.
The IEM bodies have a special set of wings, which help them stay in your ears, and which actually work nicely, much better than your run-of-the-mill TWS IEMs. With Bluetooth 5, aptX, and a strong signal, you should worry more about your health and brain being OK, than the MW07GO disconnecting from your source, regardless whether it is a laptop or a smartphone. IPX6 water resistance completes the setup of a proper sport IEM, and although I haven’t dipped them in water to test that, they resisted a chubby man’s workout, so they should be good enough for everyone.
Sound Quality
I want to start by saying that the call quality is really poor. Do not get those for phone calls, they pick human voices nicely, but they also pick quite a bit of noise, so even something like Tranya B530 is a better fit.
On the other hand, M&D put a 10mm Beryllium driver inside the MW07GO. An actual Be driver, and 10mm, which means bass, soundstage, a beautiful musical, warm sound. Everything is there!
Starting with the bass, it is a deep, large and impactful bass. We’re talking about the bass going as low as 30 Hz, and the impact being blastiful. The total amount of bass does warm the mids a bit too, as it is not just the lower bass that is enhanced, but also the mid bass and the upper bass. It doesn’t come through as slow or annoying though, just the right amount to be tasteful with most pop, electronic and rock music.
The midrange is simply beautiful, detailed, in line with a proper ~200 USD IEM like the Dunu Falcon-C, but more musical. It sounds wide the soundstage being both fairly wide and deep, with good detail and technical ability. The mids are on the sweeter / warmer side, so no analytical type of sound here, but the actual resolution is still great.
The treble was the biggest surprise, Master & Dynamic is starting to get it. The sound is generally V-Shaped, with the treble completing the uplifted bass and the somewhat recessed mids come to life, with a nice sparkly touch in the highs. The treble extends nicely up to 12 kHz, and then it rolls off without becoming harsh at its peak. All in all, the whole sound is pretty fatigue-free, but it is uplifting, making MW07GO easy to recommend to just about anyone.
Comparisons
Most of my reviews about TWS IEMs go to Youtube now, so please check my channel if you’re curious about them, but those that are more interesting will also get a written article. For the comparisons of today, and based on your requests, I picked HIFIMAN TWS600, 1More Stylish TWS, and the original MW07 to compare to the MW07GO.
Master & Dynamic MW07 GO vs HIFIMAN TWS 600 (200 USD vs 200 USD) – TWS600 is a great TWS IEM, but the overall signature, especially if you don’t EQ it a bit, is quite hard to swallow. It works great for a very specific music style, and has good potential if you take the time to EQ it, but otherwise I find it much easier to recommend the MW07GO to most people. Paired with the fact that HIFIMAN went with only SBC, and no aptX for the TWS 600, which does have a fairly good resolution, the MW07GO ends up sounding more detailed, more clear, has a better bass resolution, bass reach, treble resolution, treble extension, and in general sounds more natural. The comfort is also a bit better on the MW07GO thanks to the wings, although in all honesty, I liked the aesthetics of the HIFIMAN a bit more.
Master & Dynamic MW07 GO vs Master Dynamic MW07 (200 USD vs 150 USD) – The original MW07GO was a fairly good IEM, but it had a bass that was a bit strong, working much better for hip-hop and drum n bass than it worked for classical, pop, rock and so on. The GO version is actually more natural in the midrange, has a better treble extension and sounds much better with most natural music. The ergonomics are very similar between the two, and the original had a great fit, but for sonics, I recommend the GO version as an upgrade in every possible way.
Master & Dynamic MW07 GO vs 1 More Stylish TWS IEMs (200 USD vs 50 USD) – The 1More Stylish are bass cannons. I’m talking about them having one of the deepest, strongest bass I have heard, which was pretty great, but in the process they also sacrificed the treble, the sparkle, and some of the mids, leaving the 1More Stylish sounding thick, impactful, but also pretty specific. The MW07GO sounds much more natural, but also thinner, with a more precise, quicker bass, more resolution, and better overall technical ability. The treble is also more extended, and the midrange has better texture, better tonality.
Value and Conclusion
When talking about the value of the Master & Dynamic MW07 GO, we’re talking about a 200-USD TWS IEM, which is not a great idea, given the flood of TWS IEMs that’s been going on for a year now, but we’re also talking about the sound of a proper 200-USD wired IEM. I honestly like the MW07GO, even more than that of the pricier MW07 Plus, and I do consider the GO to be great value. I always needed something to wear while doing workouts, and the GO has been perfect for that.
The package is not as complete or as exciting as other Master & Dynamic products, but it is still pretty great, with a good selection of tips and wings.
The sound is V-Shaped, and a well done V-Shaped sound, with a good extension in the treble, a treble that’s neither metallic nor harsh, and with a bass that’s large, but doesn’t boom the entire sound.
Since I have personally been using the MW07GO outside of the time it took me to review it, I can safely add it to Audiophile-Heaven’s Hall Of Fame, for being an actually great little TWS IEM, with good sound, build quality, battery life, and sound.
At the end of the day, if you’re looking for a V-Shaped sound, if you enjoy TWS IEMs, and if you want to use it for workouts, or at least if you enjoy good ergonomics, the MW07GO is a great choice, and one I can totally recommend.

We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. I recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music!
