ddHiFi HS270W Wooden Headphone Stand – Even Taller and More Stable

ddHiFi HS270W Wooden Headphone Stand – Even Taller and More Stable

ddHIFI HS270W is a $39 USD Headphone Stand made to keep your headphones safe, stable, and to protect the cable connectors as well as the headband. The design is simple, beautiful and effective, so today we will explore whether it is a good option for your headphone collection and why you’ve seen it appearing in every high-end headphone review recently on Audiophile-Heaven.

Introduction

ddHIFI is a brand popular across the world specializing in high-end audiophile accessories, including headphone stands, cables, connectors, adapters, and they even make their own headphones, namely the Janus 3, which we previously reviewed on Audiophile-Heaven. As an Amazon Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases, and using the purchase links in my reviews helps me maintain this website and Youtube Channel. Huge thanks to ddHiFi for providing the sample for this review, in exchange for my honest opinion.

PROs – The most beautiful and most stable headphone stand available on the market at this moment, with the most affordable price point either.

Cons – Absolutely nothing.

Build Quality/Aesthetics/Fit/Comfort

I previously reviewed the ddHiFi HS270, which is made of metal and leather, and which is much heavier, and pricier than the HS 270 W we are reviewing today, but I generally prefer the new wooden version, so this is a good moment to explore why and how ddHIFI manages to offer an improved product at half the price of the original.

The new HS270W has a combination of real wood and metal, having the base crafted from raw wood, available in  both walnut and beech. The walnut version comes with  a black aluminum support rod, while the beech version has a silver aluminum alloy support rod. Both versions look beautiful and I prefer the high-contrast of using the beech version with a black headphone, and the walnut version with either a light-colored headphone, or with a headphone that has a walnut or similar color.

As most headphones come with cables of different lengths and connectors, ddHIFI increased the height of the headphone stand to 270mm, this being enough even for headphones with extremely long cable stress relief connectors. The head beam and support rod are detachable, and there is a nylon gasket that will offer damping for the system to be as tight and stable as possible.

The base of the HS270W is large, and although the stand is far lighter than the HS270, at about 220 grams, the stability is similar, if not even better on the new Hs270W. The reason is that the base is incredibly large, at 150mm diameter, and the base is also rounded at the edges, which makes it wobble back in place even if tilted at a 30 degree angle.

You can see the stand supporting Audeze MM-100 and Sivga P2 PRO in the photos for this review, but it has been featured in our reviews exploring FiiO FT1, and will appear in our reviews exploring the upcoming Palma DHS-1, Mirph-1 Headphones, and many other reviews coming in the future.

There is no other information available and relevant on any official website, but in my experience, HS270 W is the best headphone stand designed so far. It is tall enough to actually have enough space for cables, and the base has a lip, acting like a little plate for the cables and not leaving them to sit freely on the desk.

The headphone stand has a soft touch material on the bottom, and it is ultra stable, plus the wood has actual wood and not MDF, which looks nice, personal and beautiful in person. You will likely notice from the photos we took with the new stands that they are the most beautiful options available to date on the market.

Value and Conclusion

While the pricier HS270 made of leather and steel is pricier, the materials were pricier, so ddHIFI made the Hs270W almost half the price of the original, making this an excellent deal, and at this point it is the most affordable, most beautiful headphone stand available on the market.

It goes without saying that I fully recommend the new HS270W, and if you want ultimate quality, ddHIFI HS270W will deliver on every front, and feel awesome. In fact, I would even add it to the Audiophile-Heaven Hall Of Fame, if the page was not dedicated for products with an active audio role, but you will most likely see the Hs270W used in the Hall Of fame for supporting high-end flagship headphones.
